Setup

The ARCA Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) Solution contains pre-built objects (including Spaces, Datasets, Functions, Workflows and Dashboards) used to process your credit data.

Initial setup

Download and install

1. Update Aperture Data Studio by downloading the latest version files from our Experian Data Quality Community.
2. Contact regional support for access to the following ARCA custom step extension files:
   1. ARCA Report Parser
      • ARCAReportParser-x.x.x.jar
   2. ARCA Response Parser
      • ARCAResponseParser-x.x.x.jar
   3. ARCA Step
      • ARCAStep-x.x.x.jar
   4. Aperture Data Studio metadata exchange package with Workflow file
      • "Data Studio Export - Experian DQ for CCR - Core - dd mmm yyyy hh-mm-ss-sss.dmxd"
   5. Aperture Data Studio metadata exchange package with Workflow file
      • "Data Studio Export - Experian DQ for CCR - Templates - dd mmm yyyy hh-mm-ss-sss.dmxd"
   6. Aperture Data Studio metadata exchange package with Workflow file
      • "Data Studio Export - Experian DQ for CCR – Report Templates - dd mmm yyyy hh-mm-ss-sss.dmxd"
3. Turn off the Aperture Data Studio Database Server service.
4. Save the ARCA custom steps extension files into the /ApertureDataStudio/addons/ directory within the Aperture Data Studio server.
5. Turn on the Aperture Data Studio Database Server service.

Create Spaces

1. Login as an administrator.
2. Go to System > Spaces.
3. Click Create new Space and add following Spaces:
   • Experian DQ for CCR – Core: is the main Space containing core Workflows/Functions used to identify non-conforming data and the logic that converts your data to ARCA standard XML outputs.

     Don't make changes to this Space as they will be overwritten by future updates to the Solution.

   • Experian DQ for CCR – Templates: provides template Workflows that can be used to create a complete CCR solution.

     Don't make changes to this Space as they will be overwritten by future updates to the Solution.

   • Experian DQ for CCR - Report Templates: provides template for Dashboards and the Workflows that can be used to report on the response files from CCR.

     We recommend cloning this Space before creating any custom work.

Synchronize Spaces

You should now populate each Space individually with the relevant data, in the correct order.

1. Start with the Experian DQ for CCR - Core Space. Click the Options icon on the right and then Synchronize.
2. Load the corresponding DMX/DMXD file into the Space.
   For example: "Data Studio Export - Experian DQ for CCR - Core - dd mmm yyyy hh-mm-ss-sss.dmxd" file will synchronize into the Experian DQ for CCR – Core Space.
3. Click Next > Synchronize.
4. Repeat this for the remaining two Spaces: Experian DQ for CCR - Templates and lastly, Experian DQ for CCR - Report Templates.
