To secure your integration, we strongly recommend that you use both of these options. This will protect your integration code from fraudulent and unauthorized uses.

Permitted lookup limit

This setting allows you to specify the daily maximum number of lookups that can be performed by an individual user (identified by an IP address). This will help limit unauthorized uses of your validation services.

To set the limit, click Enable to set look up limit and enter a numeric value.

Once an individual user hits the limit, they will get the ‘Too many validations’ error and will be disabled from making validations for the rest of the day.

Note that this is a single limit across all validation services that you have integrated via the Integration Wizard. If you have more than one service or if you have multiple contact fields on your web page, we recommend setting a higher limit. A limit of 20-50 per contact field (address, email, phone) should give genuine users enough attempts while preventing fraudulent users from abusing the service.
If you have users with static IP addresses, we recommend to not use this setting or set the limit to a very high number. Since we detect each unique individual user by an IP address, the service will consider multiple users on static IPs as the same user.

Permitted web pages

We strongly recommend that you specify at least one domain or sub-domain for each integration. This ensures that the integration code we provide to you is not accessible to any other websites.

You can whitelist more than one domain, as long as you're using the same form on all of the pages. If you've specified the URL during contact form configuration, it will be automatically permitted.

To specify the permitted domain(s), simply enter the permitted URL(s). For example, www.mywebsite.com.
