Aperture Governance Studio’s data lineage functionality allows a business to define exactly what data they have in which systems, sources and reports, as well as the pathway and transformations that data takes. It can clearly define where the data is mastered, what the target source systems are, and if there is any duplicated or fractured data throughout the systems landscape. It also allows users to see which key attributes are used in regulatory reports, in which systems those attributes originate and any transformations they take along the way.
This lineage is compiled into a data map in the ‘Visualisation’ page with recognisable system icons and pathways.
