Data Quality user documentation | Configure LDAP authentication

The LDAPS (secure LDAP) standard has now been deprecated and is no longer supported in Data Studio. Selecting LDAP will automatically negotiate a secure connection over port 389.

LDAP authentication allows the administrator to configure user authentication using a single specified LDAP server.

Once the LDAP server is configured, Data Studio users can be associated with an LDAP ID to provide LDAP authentication. Authorization is defined in Data Studio through the Data Studio user's permissions and role capabilities. Users with the "Manage Security Settings" capability can configure the LDAP server set up.

To configure the location of the LDAP server:

Go to Settings > Security.
Under LDAP properties check Enabled.
Add the LDAP server URL.
Check LDAP server connection by clicking Test connection.
